The beach was perfect for surfing and chilling with friends. We also got to explore amazing places like Uda Walawe and Yala National Parks, where we saw incredible wildlife. The hot water wells at SuriyaWewa were a unique experience too. Handun Villas was a great base, with friendly staff and a cool pool to relax after our adventures.

The only thing missing was a vibrant nightlife. We wished there were more party spots nearby for us young party animals.

The rooms at Handun Villas are incredible! I stayed in the Kohomba room and it felt like a cozy home away from home. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather, and the flat-screen TV with satellite channels kept me entertained. The private bathroom was clean and had free toiletries. I loved the comfortable seating area and felt completely relaxed during my stay.

The only downside, and this is just my personal preference, is that the shower in the private bathroom only had a bidet. But hey, I know some people actually prefer that, so it might not be a con for everyone!

I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful place. Cons: Nothing to complain about at all. 😊.

The hotel was a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the nearby beach area. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay enjoyable. The pool area was a real highlight, with beautiful views from the sun loungers. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast spread and the fact that they had a yoga class available onsite.

While the rooms were clean and comfortable, we did find the bathroom facilities to be quite basic. Additionally, the hotel was a bit further away from the main attractions than we had hoped, making it necessary to take taxis or find other transportation options to explore the area. however, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend this hotel for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I got excellent value for my money at Handun Villas. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The location was stunning, surrounded by green gardens where I could spot monkeys, peacocks, and various beautiful birds. The staff at the hotel, especially Damien and Nyaomi, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were blown away by the luxurious amenities and exceptional service. the spa and wellness centre offered a wide range of treatments, including body scrubs and massages, while the outdoor swimming pool was perfect for lounging in the sun. We loved the private beach access and the stunning sun terrace with comfortable sun loungers and beach umbrellas. the garden area was beautifully manicured and made for a peaceful retreat.

this minor issue did not detract from the overall positive experience we had at this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Handun Villas in Talalla. the charming villa and bungalows were beautifully decorated, with nice linens and fluffy pillows. the colonial building and estate grounds were picturesque, just like in the pictures. the staff, particularly the two male waiters, were friendly and provided excellent service. We enjoyed the complimentary coconuts from the garden and the organized whale watching excursion. the massages were also amazing, and the pool was a great place to relax. We appreciated the fresh linen service and daily room cleaning. it was a delightful experience!

I recently stayed at Handun Villas for my wedding day photoshoot and had an incredible experience. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, and the guests exuded a certain class that made us feel comfortable. The spacious bathroom with an open sky was a highlight, and even the minor staff members were friendly and helpful. The English breakfast was delicious, and I enjoyed a nice coffee after my trip to the USA. We used the hotel's location for our photoshoot, and the results were superb. I highly recommend Handun Villas to everyone.

We had a wonderful stay with great service and facilities. The spacious and clean rooms were beautifully decorated, and the lush gardens and swimming pool provided a relaxing atmosphere with peacocks and birds passing by. The friendly and attentive staff organized taxis, provided guidance about the area, and gave exceptional service throughout our stay. The location provided easy access to the best beach on the stunning Talalla beach just across the road.

All was perfect.

The food was good and the service staff were friendly. the massages were wonderful and the pool was nice. the linens and pillows were comfortable and the villa itself was charming. the colonial building and grounds were pretty. the fresh linen service and room cleaning everyday were appreciated.

The hotel did not have a beachfront location and there were not enough sun loungers by the pool. the selection of alcoholic beverages was limited and there was no wifi except in the lobby and sometimes in the courtyard.
